Description
The becket holds the end of the rope under the cleat. No need for an extra fixing when rigging for 2:1 advantage. Small, neat and lightweight. The fairlead guides the rope into the teeth and advanced tooth technology holds all types of small rope. The CL270AN is used on Laser tillers to give a 4:1 advantage without using a pulley block – see photo.
Manufactured from aluminium for a light weight and durable performance the Clamcleat® CL270 is available in two finishes:
– 1. CL270 has a silver stove enamel finish for a cost effective, high quality coating.
– 2. CL270AN has a hard anodised finish to give a hard wearing surface.
To prevent any corrosion when fitting the CL270 to carbon fibre tubes, use to carbon fibre tubes, use a barrier compound, or our PT425 + PT425 insulators.
CL823 Tapered Pad angles the CL270, which can aid rope alignment.
if you don’t need a becket, see CL268.
CL828-70 has the CL270 fitted on an aero base, for a mid-air rig with 4:1 ratio.
Also rigged on a rope, and with a side-entry fairlead for quick de-rigging, is the CL828-77.
A larger cleat with becket is the CL211 Mk2/S2, for 4-6mm ropes.
