Paddleclub Sessions over the Avon Aqueduct

Avon Aqueduct info boardsPaddlefast are fortunate enough to be located just by the Union Canal. With various launch points within easy reach, we opted to launch from the pretty Muiravonside Parish Church and head Eastwards towards Linlithgow and the Avon  Aqueduct.

Autumn coloursAutumn Colours appearing

We have done this a couple of times in the last month and you really notice the difference in the trees which are now turning towards autumn. A lovely display of yellow and in some cases red/orange as we paddled past. It won’t be long before the Gorge beneath the Aqueduct is awash in colour.

Both evenings were clear, although the darkness set in around 8-8:30pm last night – nearly time for the clocks to ‘fall back’ for winter (gasp!). It’s just as well the final paddleclub session allows for this.

Final Paddleclub Session

Meeting at the top of the Falkirk Wheel on Tuesday 19th September and heading to the Falkirk Tunnel. There is a prize for ‘best-dressed’ next time, so make sure head torches and other glow-in-the-dark products are prominently on display!
