Sailingfast Supporting Events: Summer 2017

This summer we’re packing up the chandlery shop into the van and joining you on the road, supporting events up and down the country. Our aim at these events, is to keep you on the water racing in the event of gear failure. However, you may wish to pre-order some essentials to be on the safe side.

Free delivery on pre-orders

To take advantage of free delivery to these events, please select the ‘collect from shop/event’ when ordering online and drop us an email to let us know which event you will be attending.

You will find us supporting the following events:

1/2nd July – WASZP training at Datchet Water
1-5th August – WASZP International Games, Lake Garda
5-11th August – Topper Nationals at Pwlhelli (free delivery on pre-orders only)
12-18th August – 420 Nationals at Helensburgh

Check before you go

Before the travelling begins in earnest, you might want to check over your boat covers and bags to check for wear and tear. Have you got enough straps for securing loads? Have you got a spares kit or toolbox for the events where there isn’t always a chandlery available on site? This should include some ropes or even pre-made control lines like a spare kicker, maybe a block or two, sail repair kit and you can never go wrong with PVC tape!

Travelling to events such as the Nationals is usually a great experience to sail in bigger fleets. You’re likely to pick up tips and tricks from other sailors and make friends from all over the country. We enjoy supporting events all over the place as it means we get to meet you, our customers, in person. Besides, stay-cations are all the rage, right?!
