Sailingfast are heading south for the Topper Winter champs at WPNSA this weekend. Duncan learnt to sail in a Topper himself back in the dark ages (also known as the 1980s!) at Loch Lomond Sailing Club. There’s not much he doesn’t know about the Topper.
Come and chat to Duncan about the reasons behind the new Topper 6:1 kicker upgrades, replacing your mainsheet boom sleeve with one of our colourful ones, not to mention the new rules about sail numbering that come into effect. If you are feeling lucky, you might even ask about the upcoming RYA Dinghy Show deals which come into effect at the beginning of March.
On the way to the Topper Winter Champs we are delivering a few Toppers to their new homes across the country so look out for some new 48500+ sail numbers hitting the water. At Sailingfast, we deliver your boats ready to sail with the control lines set up, the rudder put together, pro grip on the daggerboard mouldings and the sail already numbered. All you have to do is out the sail on the mast, the foils in the boat, grab a snack and launch.
However, if you prefer to put your new boat together to your own specification because you enjoy the tweaking, we will happily deliver everything in the plastic and leave you to it. Please note: sailing Mum’s hate it when the dining room is drowning in Topper sails as you try and apply championship numbers following the ITCA sail numbering instructions! (Sail numbering service starts at £15 per sail).
How to find us at the Topper Winter ChampsIf you’re not sure what Duncan looks like, the big Sailingfast-branded van should give you a clue. Failing which, he can often be seen wearing one of the pink bobble Sailingfast hats.
