Starboard 2018 Tikhine Board Available for demo

Paddlefast have snaffled a 2018 Starboard Tikhine Wave 11’2 inflatable paddleboard for us to try out ahead of the 2018 boards becoming available next month. (and we’re feeling smug!)

Artistic Design

New to the Starboard line up in 2018, this board allowed Sonni Honscheid (artist) to combine her two favourite passions of art and SUP to create the design of this amazing inflatable paddleboard.

At 11’2 long, this board has a great curve in the nose allowing it to ride over most small waves with ease. 3 fixed fins at the tail mean you’re not constantly dropping screws in the water or grass as per some of the other boards in the Starboard range.

Slightly shallower at 4.75 inches, rather than the 6 inches we are used to at Paddlefast, you are more likely to get your feet wet from the off but it does make the board lighter to carry around.

How does it perform?

All in all, this board tracks well in a straight line on flat water and is so pretty to look at, you’ll be the envy of all your SUP buddies. Also comes in 2 other colourways – SUN and POLKA DOT (Artwork designed by David Carson).

How much?

Retailing at £899 (including board, bag, pump and leash), this is a great all round board. The bag that it comes in is really sturdy, with roller wheels, handles and backpack straps for easy carrying and lifting.
